The Executive Director of Ngorongoro District Council hereby invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for fourteen (14) job vacancies available in the Council following the approval from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance as per the following details:
1.0 RECORDS ASSISTANT - GRADE II - 3 VACANCIES
1.0.1 Duties and Responsibilities
- Register incoming correspondence in the incoming correspondence register.
- Register outgoing correspondence in the outgoing correspondence register.
- Distribute files to officers (action officers).
- Receive files returned from officers.
- Search for records/documents/files required by officers.
- Return files to racks/filing cabinets or other designated storage.
- Track file circulation within the institution (file tracking).
1.0.2 Applicant Requirements
Must have a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Certificate (Form VI) or NTA Level 6 in Records Management from recognized institutions, and computer skills.
1.0.3 Salary Scale

1.1 DRIVER GRADE II - 6 VACANCIES
1.1.1 Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety.
- Transport staff on official trips.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance.
- Collect and distribute various documents.
- Maintain and update the vehicle logbook for all trips.
- Clean the vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
1.1.2 Applicant Requirements
Form IV Certificate and a valid Driving License Class E or C with at least one year of accident-free driving experience. Must have completed basic driving training from VETA or recognized institution.

1.2 OFFICE ATTENDANT GRADE II - 5 VACANCIES
1.2.1 Duties and Responsibilities
- Typing letters, reports, and regular and confidential documents.
- Receiving visitors and listening to their concerns and directing them appropriately.
- Maintaining records of events, appointments, visitors, meeting dates, trips of the supervisor, and other schedules.
- Searching for documents needed for job execution.
- Receiving and distributing documents to officers in departments and units.
- Collecting, organizing, and returning files and documents to the responsible sections.
- Preparing minutes and arrangements for various meetings.
- Preparing lists of office supply requirements.
1.2.2 Applicant Requirements
Holder of Form IV or Form VI Certificate with a Diploma or NTA level 6 in Office Management. Must have passed Swahili and English typing at 100 words per minute and computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Publisher from a recognized institution.
1.2.3 Salary Scale

General Conditions
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
- Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and should specify their disabilities on the recruitment portal.
- Applicants must attach detailed CVs including current contact information and three reliable referees.
- Applications must be accompanied by certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
- Testimonials, provisional results, statement of results, Form IV and Form VI result slips will NOT be accepted.
- Applicants educated outside Tanzania must have their certificates verified by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, NACTE).
- Public service retirees must have permission from the Secretary General to apply.
- Applicants currently employed in public service are not allowed to apply unless authorized.
- Submission of false information will lead to legal action.
- Driver applicants must attach relevant driving training certificates.
- Applicants with different names in documents must provide a registered Deed Poll (name change certificate).
- The application deadline is 24 December 2025.
- Applications must be submitted electronically via the Ajira Portal at https://portal.ajira.go.tz/.
- Applications not following the stated procedures will be rejected.
